This works great as IR (infared) thermometer and as a back up IR imager. You can scan temperature variations over time or over neighboring surfaces. This is not a NIST quality measurement tool, so if you use with that understanding then this will be a great addition for any Green Building professional as well as any home owners that wants to improve home energy efficiency.

Kintrex IRT0421 Non-Contact Infrared Thermometer with Laser Targeting

It works good but the battery holder didn't fit good, I had too trim the plastic some. Cats like to chase the laser.After reading reviews of various IR thermometers I ordered the Kintrex model IRT0412, it has performed perfectly and met all of my needs. I would recommend this to friends and family alike.

This is more accurate than I thought it would be. It's easy to use. It's so easy that I use it whenever a surface reading gives me enough control of the cooking process.

Nubee® Temperature Gun Non-contact Infrared Thermometer

Assuming it is relatively accurate, which it appears to be (+/- 2% or 2C), this is a great little tool. Admittedly, I haven't found a ton of uses for it yet, but it is interesting for comparing new windows to old windows (10F difference in surface temp). The backlight and laser both work great and add to the ease of use. Battery life seems plentiful as well. Overall a great product, especially if you can find a regular use for it!

Very good value for this instrument. It was ordered and was received ahead of the promise date. Measurements were compared to other instruments and the readings are accurate.
